Meet Tim Walsh from the Alma del Pueblo sales team. Tim is an art aficionado and collector. He also serves on the board of Santa Barbara’s Contemporary Arts Forum. Tim believes the Santa Barbara lifestyle is defined by the unlimited possibilities it offers.
What brought you to Santa Barbara?
After growing up in Carmel and Honolulu, I searched up and down the west coast for a permanent home, and Santa Barbara was really in the sweet spot. It’s not too hot, not too cold; not too crowded, not too quiet. It honestly is just right.
Our city is like an old soul, with the traditional architecture and celebrating heritage so fervently, as it does. I love it!
What do you enjoy about selling homes?
Well, my Dad was a real estate broker, so I grew up immersed in this world where you’re helping people realize their dreams. Every day is different in this line of work. I love meeting all different types of people, and these are people who care deeply about where they live and the place they’re going to make their new home. I love helping these folks make that dream a reality.
What are some of your favorite aspects of Alma del Pueblo?
Where do I begin? It reminds me of Rome or Venice – in an old port town where the exterior façade is traditional, but with Alma del Pueblo the interior is full of modern amenities.
The ease of lifestyle people will experience here, with the freedom to enjoy your life. For those interested in cultivating fruits or veggies, but without the challenge of a huge yard and garden to maintain, we’ve got the raised beds on the rooftop club floor. On the rooftop of the Market, a homeowner can admire their green thumb while sipping a special wine from their very own wine storage.
Then there’s the amazing proximity – next door to the finest restaurants, the best shopping in town and world-class performing arts.
What makes Alma del Pueblo so unique?
This project truly is on the cutting edge, with nothing else like it in Santa Barbara. Residents will have a concierge. They’ll have the Public Market steps from their door. They’ll have dramatic vistas and can enjoy twilight on the terrace. I mean, this project is in a class by itself.
Name 3 reasons to love Santa Barbara
1. Well, I could say weather, weather and weather – you get the idea.
2. The people – we have a rich mix of people in our city. You get the sense everyone is just as excited to live here.
3. Atmosphere – Full of opportunities – to take a beach run, an ocean swim or go hiking. The view from the wharf looking back at the city never fails to take my breath away – the city nestled between the Pacific and the mountains. There are unlimited possibilities for enjoying life in this great city.
