EcoBroker, Santa Barbara Native

Meet Elizabeth Wagner

This week, we’d like to introduce you to one of our sales team members, Elizabeth Wagner. Elizabeth has deep experience in Santa Barbara real estate. As the city’s first EcoBroker, she is part of a nationally accredited designation committed to the environment and to her clients.

What do you think makes Santa Barbara so special?

Well, I’m a native so the community is very dear to my heart. I have some deep family roots here, and, now my children will grow up with the same Santa Barbara upbringing I was lucky enough to enjoy.

I love the mom and pop shops. I love that we don’t have billboards, that the tallest building is the Granada and it’s not even that tall. I love going anywhere in town and running into a friend and still being surprised by that! Santa Barbara has a small-town feel, but with great sophistication.

Tell us about your involvement with the CEC?

I’ve been on the board of the Community Environmental Council (CEC) for the past several years. They were the first group to put on Santa Barbara’s Earth Day, which is coming up this April 20 and 21st at Alameda Park. The CEC has a number of initiatives – from helping to provide solar roofs for homeowners, to the “Rethink the drink” campaign, which eliminates the need for plastic water bottles in schools. We are also heavily involved in making electric vehicle usage and their charging stations more accessible.

What did you first think when you heard about Alma del Pueblo?

I jumped at the chance to be involved in this legacy project in Santa Barbara. Marge, Alma del Pueblo’s leader, is committed to the highest quality product that also adheres to the best in green design and building. That’s impressive. Combine that with Alma del Pueblo’s spectacular amenities and you’ve got a project capable of transforming people’s lives as well as our city. I believe in the urban lifestyle that Alma del Pueblo represents.

What makes this project so unique for Santa Barbara?

Where do I begin? Imagine living steps away from a hub of small merchants that offers organic produce, fresh cuts of meat, cheese, and wine. That’s the Santa Barbara Public Market, on the ground floor of Alma del Pueblo. On the Walkability Index, we score 100 out of 100. This means you don’t need to jump in your car to run errands, visit friends or stroll through the park. And you’ll be next door to finest restaurants, the best shopping in town and world-class performing arts.

Stop by our sales office at 1321 State Stree (805 845 4393), Wed-Sun, 12-5. And join us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter as we share the latest news, events and glimpses of what’s going on at Alma del Pueblo.
